A publishing house, not a category

Every book
worth carrying
home.

Mahna Publishing prints fiction, poetry, memoir, and children’s books, in Spanish, English, and Korean. No house genre — just a sharp eye for what’s worth keeping.

The Mahna Publishing magpie mark
01 — ABOUT

Why a magpie

Magpies are collectors, but not indiscriminate ones. A magpie doesn’t take everything that shines — it takes the thing worth the trip back to the nest. That instinct, more than any single genre or age group, is what runs through the Mahna Publishing list.

We publish a middle-grade adventure alongside a poetry chapbook, a memoir alongside a debut novel. What holds the catalog together is the editorial eye that chose each book, not the shelf it ends up on. If it’s well made and it says something true, it belongs here — regardless of which language it was written in first.
